How many treatments are required?
The number of electrolysis treatments needed varies for each client, depending on individual hair growth patterns and treatment areas. Sessions can last anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour, based on the size and location of the area being treated. Several factors influence the treatment plan, including hair growth cycles, hair thickness and density, previous use of temporary hair removal methods, heredity, hormone levels, medications, and stress. Following the recommended treatment schedule is essential to achieve the best, long-lasting results.

Electrolysis is effective on all skin and hair types and can be used on most areas of the face and body. Common treatment areas include the eyebrows, chin, upper and lower lip, jawline and sides of the face, underarms, chest, abdomen, bikini line, legs, and back. What to expect during an electrolysis session?

An Electrologist may treat patients with certain conditions if he/she first obtains written authorization to do so from the patient’s physician.
Such conditions include but are not limited to:
Diabetes mellitus
Hair in moles
Medical conditions for which the patient wears any external or implanted medical object or device
Medical conditions that are treated with drugs having anti-coagulant effects
Medical conditions treated with drugs that may create photosensitivity
